I wasn’t sure if your Trac was the appropriate place to file a ticket with a patch, but I went ahead and did it: https://plugins.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/ticket/2947 The patch works for my installation.
Thanks, Zainab. I should add I’ve updated the patch I use from the one above to check for both http:// and https://, rather than one or the other.
