In reply to: RSS doesn’t work, get 404 errorWell, I’m an Apache served site, although it’s PHP through CGI at 1&1 as far as I know.

In reply to: RSS doesn’t work, get 404 errorUpdate – using permalinks fixes things for me as well, except the URI is http://www.blogname.com/feed/ which doesn’t help all the people who were using /wp-rss2.php and are getting a 404 error. Going back to no permalinks doesn’t fix it either.

In reply to: RSS doesn’t work, get 404 errorI’ll chime in with the same issue. I can get the feed in the browser by going direct to the URL, but the validator and Feeddemon show a 404.

In reply to: Pings & Trackbacks in and out don’t work….I had the same issue, but when I changed hosts to 1&1 yesterday and reuploaded everything without a single change, trackbacks started working.
Perhaps some hosting outfits are blocking pings and trackbacks from going out?

In reply to: Perfect in FF, fooked up in IETry the W3C validator for a good starting spot. It flags a ton of problems right from the get go.

In reply to: WP 1.22 Weird Link BehaviorBut of course. Other than Carthik’s Update Linkroll plugin (now deactivated with no joy), I haven’t changed anything but the index.php page. Everything else is fresh and new. I’m going to try a brand new install on another server to see if it duplicates.
