In my case what fixed it was to correct the Media upload path under http://_yoursite.com_/wp-admin/options-media.php

@mra13: in my case it saves the setting OK, but it doesn’t apply on the gallery itself (I’ve tried all options on individual gallery option:
“Sort Order Of Gallery Images:”
and on the general settings of the plugin:
“Sort Order Of Gallery Selection:”

I’m having the same problem. Quite happy with the plugin after working around the bad image url.
I hope this can get fixed.
You can’t change ID of pictures, but you can select ascending or descending by ID or date, but the problem is that anything you select on the general or on a single gallery options, the photos are sorted the same way (date ascending I think).
I hope this is worked out.
Anyone has found a workaround?
