OK, never mind. I got myself a copy of WordPress for Dummies (that’s me!) and figured out how to perform the steps you described through cPanel. What you described worked. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your response. But I have no idea how to do any of that. I am a neophyte at wordpress. I’ve been accessing my files by typing my website.com/wp-admin into the browser, and after login, it takes me right to my dashboard. How do I access these files to delete them?
