    By the way, the slideshow you published using some of my photos looks great. Once I get the theme issue resolved, I’ll explore different sizes.

    BTW, every still photo of yours (e.g. the moon in mosaic) enlarges to what I’d say was an ideal slide show size…WITH CAPTIONS). That will be my next challenge once I get my slideshow working as it appears on your site. So many applications for a combination of both FS and captions/titles (e.g. retirement parties, etc.).

    Thank you for testing and isolating the problem. I will explore your suggestions and post what I learn. I’m most grateful for your help in this fabulous plugin.

    Received email that Photonic 3.32 was released. Upgraded plugin, returned to page with shortcode, deleted old code and added a new “gallery” leaving all as defaults. Result was oversized. Visited Photonic > Flickr Settings > changed default size to 500px. Created new code, default size was correctly changed to 500px. Changed album > images still way oversized. See at sobirds.us/slideshow.

    Thank you for the prompt response. Switched Photonic settings as suggested (dynamic heights), saved settings, edited shortcode (changed to a smaller album/photoset), cleared the cache and, sadly, the images are aligned to fit width and are too big.. Make’s ’em blurry.
    Shortcode results:
    [gallery type='flickr' view='photosets' photoset_id='72177720332280911' headers='title' user_id='186368351@N05' columns='1' title_position='regular' caption='title' speed='1000' timeout='3000' fx='fade' pause='1' strip-style='button' controls='show' layout='no-strip' main_size='none']

    Thank you for the fix. I’d initially overlooked the link to the upgrade. All is good, now.

    Changed from Colorbox to “Common” and problem persists. see < sobirds.us >. Also added a header to determine feed is active. And, like the earlier poster, the images are laid out beneath the header and are “active” (if only you can find ’em). Weird.

    I’m afraid I didn’t express myself clearly. My site currently displays the contents of a single Flickr album (photoset) in the square layout without labels beneath each photo. If one were to use the browser’s Cmd-F to search the text, it wouldn’t work. Were the labels displayed beneath each photo (I forget the shortcode), Cmd-F would work. For example, in your link above (“similar to this”) I used Cmd-F to search South Africa without success.

    The primary reason I’m not displaying labels beneath is because many labels contain a considerable amount of information making it unsightly on a Photonic-driven WP display. Therefore, it would be grand to be able to search contents of the label without having so much information displayed beneath. If there is a workaround to search metadata without having labels displayed, that would be great. I haven’t explored WP plugins that search metadata. In the meantime, searching Flickr’s PhotoSTREAM is what I’m curious about.

    In Flickr, when searching a user’s PhotoSTREAM (not the Albums, Photosets, or Camera Roll), the entire library is searched and displays photos (and albums) meeting the searched criteria, either in a title, a description, or tags. There are some limitations but it works satisfactorily. Photonic supports display of albums, collections, and galleries. If there was a shortcode that searched a user’s Photostream remotely (UserID#) and permitted the results displayed on one’s WordPress site using Photonic, that would eliminate the need to display labels in my case.

    Is this wishful thinking?

    I discovered the same problem when (Flickr) albums are displayed on a dark background. Please help eliminate the annoying borders visible at https://viani.us/flickr/. Thanks in advance.

    Now I get it. I failed to set up the “page” on my site for photos to be displayed. All is good, and as you suggested, I’ve changed the thumbnail size to 150×150. Please toggle this topic as resolved. Now on to customizing the look and feel of the site.

    One final question: Where is the setting to have the title/caption of each photo (correctly displayed beneath each thumbnail) also appear in the Lightbox display.

    Thank you for the prompt reply. When I add the additional shortcode popup=’show’, the result is very strange. To be more specific, my album contents ARE displayed and in the location of my original WP masthead is a prominent copy of the key photo from the album (BTW, it is interestingly linked directly to my Flickr account). Clicking the displayed album images generates the lightbox display as expected. In the theme, I’ve customized the CSS to include

    .photonicModalOverlay {
    z-index: 500;
    }

    …and went so far as to remove all other CSS codings. Here is my current shortcode with the popup=”show” included: [gallery type='flickr' view='photosets' user_id='186368351@N05' columns='6' photo_count='24' photo_more='More Beautiful Photos' popup='show' title_position='below' layout='square'] – You may view the page at viani.us/flickr

    Thank you for your assistance. It’s greatly appreciated.

    Kag, please help.

    Based on online instructions (KPICASA_GALLERY(username:YourOtherUsername), I’m attempting to display my wife’s Picasa gallery on our family site (that has MY Picasa gallery on a completely SEPARATE page).

    Every attempt I’ve made to enter (username:YourOtherUsername) has resulted in “no albums found.” I’ve been unable to obtain help how “username” and “YourOtherUsername” should be written. This is really basic and I’d (and many others, evidently) would appreciate your assistance. Precisely what do we write for username and YourOtherUsername?

    Kag wrote: “You can’t combine multiple accounts unfortunately” and I wonder if this simply needs to be stated clearly in the plugin support page. If it can’t be done, so be it. It’s really confusing for such a terrific plugin (my wife disagrees, of course).
