Okay, this is interesting. It is working for me now.

The Google Web Fonts Key was installed and showing a green box that it was a valid key.
Google Fonts worked in WD Slider, but not under Theme / Appearance / Typography.
I copied and pasted the key several times and deactivated and reactivated Easy Google Fonts several times with no change.
I removed extra spaces around the Google Key and now it does not show the green box, says “enter a valid key” but the fonts now appear under Typography and in WD Slider.
I’m using Zerif PROVersion: 1.8.5.1 theme.
I just updated to WP 4.5 and Easy Google Fonts 1.3.9 stopped working. There is some message that appears when I click on Appearance / Customize but it disappears before I can read it.
Google Fonts worked before, still works on sites that I haven’t updated but no Google Fonts on my one 4.5 site.
