Just FYI, when I suggested the same fix for Jetpack’s sharing buttons, they recommended an alternative solution, in case admins actually want to present the sharing buttons inside a sidebar.

I’m not sure if that is very likely with mooberry, but perhaps some admins do that.
(Possibly you could make no-grid-in-sidebars the default behaviour, but with the ability to opt out. But that would still be a “breaking change”.)
