Thanks again for all your help. I’m just about set up now, but I don’t understand how I will deal with different posts on different subjects. I want to set up different specialist discussion areas, but how do I make sure that people only see what interest them?

Hi, I have installed word press and I have a couple of questions

1) I want this blog to be accessible from my website, so do I just put a link to it such as http://www.salientsurveys.com/wp ??

2) Is it possible for bloggers to go back to Salient Surveys when they have finished their blog?

3) How can I change the pictures shown on the blog?

4) Is it possible to put the whole blog on my website so that the format of the web page stays the same

5) I have installed Word Press in its own directory /wp .. should it stsy there?

I have just watched a video on youtube about setting up a wordpress block and it said that it is necessary to go onto the control panel of yoiur hosted website and set up a database and attached a username and password .. is that correct? I didn’t see that in the recent wordpress instruction .. or is that now done by editing the config.php file?

I have tried putting a file into the wp-admin directory to see if it loads into the browser and it was fine. But it won’t load install.php. Any suggestions please?

Thanks Esmi I can use and have ftp, but I don’t know what or why I am installing or where the files are (I have looked for thee install file on the unzipped files) .. John
