In reply to: Can't log into new site under WPMU/SuperAdminThanks for your time and feedback, but I don’t think the Multi Site will work for my application until users are able to sign up under the individual (sub)sites.
For now I’m switching back to single-site setup.

In reply to: Can't log into new site under WPMU/SuperAdminThe problem is I can’t log into the backend of the new site with the SA account/password, or any account for that matter.
I created a new user account in the Dashboard to see if I could assign the account as admin under the new site, but I see no option to do this.
When I attempt to Register a new account directly on the new site (logged out and using a different browser to ensure password isn’t cached, etc.), I am redirected to the primary site URL to register, therefore I can only Register a new user through the primary site and not any MU site.
I created this account anyway expecting it to be created under the wrong site. Attempting to log into the new site with the new password failed, as expected, since the Dashboard shows the new account on the primary domain.
I can’t see that this is correct, so I must have missed a configuration step somewhere.

In reply to: Error message after MU plugin installKeep in mind that I’m a complete nOOb, but this is my experience…
I had this exact problem when I first setup the WPMU (3.01) earlier today – there was nothing I could do as an admin without being stopped by that error.
Because I was just starting to build on the new WP installation, there was no pertinent information in the DB. So I figured I could wipe the app and DB clean and reinstall it without a serious loss. In an attempt rectify this problem, I reconfigured my domain in cPanel from:
to
When I reinstalled and reconfigured with the new path, this issue didn’t return.
I don’t know if you can reconfigure the domain without reinstalling WP, but keep in mind that the Tools | Network code may change with a change in the site URL.
