I’m looking for exactly the same functionality. It’s often important if you want to interact directly with one specific registered user.
In the meantime I made a text widget with visibility setup for a specific role. But this is not want I really want to do as it will disturb other users.

I was looking for a plugin to help me with a lot of galleries and to manage these in albums, so that I could show each album on it’s own page. And in the PRO version I found the templates to help me doing a professional job. I’m going to manage more than 4.000+ pictures in the gallery.
