Wow! I can’t believe I’ve been a year and I still have not resolved this. Obviously EE is so far off the radar that no one has bothered to come up with a solution. What a mistake I made using that system.
I’m having this problem with a new install of WP on a new (to me) hosting service. After I click publish, the Firefox throbber runs for 2-plus minutes then produces a popup: “Document contains no data.”
And yet the article is published on the site perfectly.
This scenario happens 100% of the time during tests – whether there is a URL to ping in the post or not.
For an existing site, I’m running WP on a different host. That site has been up for 10 months and I have never had this problem.
Ergo, the problem is not WP but the way WP is set up with the DB system on the server.
Can anyone give me a clue about what the problem might be with the set up might be so that I can cut through BS with hosting services technical support?
Thanks!
I too want to import two sites from EE to WP. Any guidance would be appreciated.
