I use a downloads plugin on one of my sites right now, so let me know when you get it out and I’ll give it a try.
That would be awesome. My site is being hit with lots of failed login attempts. I have a lot of security to protect the site but it would be nice to be notified just in case someone does manage to login.

By the way, if you use phpBB forums at all I am working on a Pushover plugin for that.
I am having the same problem. I just installed this plugin today. I am using the latest version of WP.
The first time I login after installing the plugin it works fine. After that as soon as it says I successfully logged in it goes back to the login screen. Attempting to go to any admin URL directly takes me back to the login screen and my login tracking plugin says that I am logging out at those times.
So… what now?

I found a plugin that makes a thumbnail of the first image in a post and adds it to the excerpt. http://www.cnet.ro/wordpress/thumbnailforexcerpts/
Seems to do just what I was looking for. (So far I am not regretting my switch to WP).
