In reply to: Emails From Contact Form Not Getting ThroughJames, thanks so much for your reply!
Postman SMTP really is a great step by step plug in for getting contact mail set up. It removes much of the uncertainty of what some of these terms precisely mean. It also introduced me to SPF records which neither of the other mailers, nor certainly GoDaddy did.
As it happens I couldn’t configure it to send emails to my Windows LiveMail account, but its handy connectivity testing tool displayed the fact that GoDaddy has closed these SMTP avenues.
As I’ve been finding it impossible to get through to GD tech support, I decided to set up Postman for GMail instead and I did get it to work with the help of some very clear instructions.
There’s just one small issue. Received precisely the same time as the email I get an annoying Mail Delivery Subsystem message telling me about non-delivery to this – its always the same – address:
I’ve also tried Googling the problem but can’t find an answer. I obviously need to exclude this address from the emails being sent. But do I do this from the GoDaddy DNS settings or Gmail? I presume it’s something associated with GoDaddy hosting. It’s not essential, the main thing is I’m getting emails, but it would be nice if I didn’t get the MDS messages as well.
Any help really appreciated. Thanks again!
