It works differently from post-by-email doesn’t it?!:
– I spotted the instructions for creating a unique address so I did so for each user, just like P-b-e. x
– I assumed from the setup page in admin login that I’d have to set it up with the email address and password for each user. x
– …It wasn’t available, so I then wondered how Postie would know who it came from.
– P-b-e has unique email post addresses for users so it knows who it came from… brainwave (duh) Postie receives an email from a WP user – so that’s how it knows who to say it’s posted by!
– The only downside for our school is that we now can’t blog for each other (a busy teacher about to go into a meeting) by sending it to their unique address (like P-b-e). We’d have to ask permission to send from their laptop / email login instead.
