Jack,
That makes sense — just providing my 2¢. Thank you for helping me troubleshoot!
Jack,
I found the problem. It was not clear to me that the test emails go to the account you are logged into — NOT the accounts/emails listed in the “to:” field of your notification’s settings. It seems logical that a test email should be delivered according to the settings of the notification, right? Only upon reviewing the SMTP logs in greater detail did I notice this. I’m curious if others have been confused by this as well. Please consider adding a piece of help text near the “Send Me a Test Email” button so users understand where they should expect those test emails to be delivered.
Thanks for your help!
-JoshJack,
I’ve tried everything in your support doc for email deliverability — putting SPF and DKIM records in my DNS, installing and configuring Postman to test connections and adjust settings, checking my spam folders…I’m not sure what else could be causing this issue. I’m using GoDaddy hosted WordPress servers with the Avada theme. I even contacted GoDaddy yesterday to see if it was a server issue. I can’t seem to find the source of the problem.
