In reply to: Nav bar links have wrong urlhmmm…
the links all work as they should if you navigate to:
http://www.mshayes.com/wp/http://www.mshayes.com/ redirects to:
http://server14.totalchoicehosting.com/~fwedqnm/wp/perhaps your host doesn’t have something setup correctly??

In reply to: database problem, non-funcioning categories, or permalinksi would doubt that moving to a new server would help you…you first need to figure out what is wrong. you should be able to FTP/SSH, etc from your computer. if not, i would work on getting that fixed (sorry i can’t really help as i’m on a mac), but once you can FTP properly to your webserver, skippy is right…remove your .htaccess (it must be an ascii text file to begin with as well). if that fixes that problem, then you are a lot closer to fixing the issue.

In reply to: Blank DashboardThanks for the update macmanx.

In reply to: Dashboard Not Updatinghmmm…well, it seems unlikely that it was a host change of any sort. this must somehow be related to the pingomatic problems…

In reply to: CHMOD?hmmm…i’m no Apache/Unix geek so i can tell you specifically what the error means, but are you sure you have the rights to change directory/file permissions? Or it may be related to the fact that you don’t have, or can’t write, to the temp directory. Try googling it…

In reply to: CHMOD?don’t look for chmod in ws ftp…just look for permission. select the checkboxes/toggles so that all 3 Read, 3 Execute, and User has Write (should be 7 selected in total).

In reply to: Dashboard Not Updatingmacmanx…just thinking, could the missing feeds just be a by-product of pingomatic being down? maybe if no updates are detected after a timeout period, the dashboard displays nothing?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Dashboard Not Updatingi know that they upgraded to NetAdmin 4 (Site5.com), but other than that i haven’t really been keeping track. i’ll have a closer look.

In reply to: Dashboard Not Updatingi noticed that my dashboard now does not display any of the feeds (makes it much faster however! :-)) i have made no changes to my wordpress install since i installed 1.5.1 weeks ago. strange.
