– build the header image, I used a size of 1140x200px
– Upload the header at a separate host (I used imgur.com)
– Insert the link code into the style sheet on the correct line
I suppose this isn’t the best solution, or correctly coded either but it does do the trick. Once the code is installed, it is simple to change header images as long as they are correctly sized simply by changing a string of code.

This is so dang annoying. I can’t seem to contact the author either. Shame on WordPress for associating with people like this. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh but really? Why does nobody care about resolving this?
