This has been corrected by changing jetpack base url in jetpack.php file from

Please try to connect to the jetpack plugin and let me know if there is any issue.Now when I tried it works! Also worked for my other sites having issue.
To fix go to : Plugins>Jet Pack>Edit and 28 lines down take out the https and save. I am sure JetPack will fix this but for now this is a working hotfix!

Yes please this would be a nice feature to have, which is the auto hashtags. Most of the users on my site do not mess with any other settings other than the default ones, so this would be a great feature.
