I’m not with the Sucuri team, but I do work at GoDaddy and escalated this matter.

GoDaddy does not oppose unblocking this plug-in and we are not trying to force users into using our backups. If anyone from updraft wants to discuss what would be needed to be unblocked, we are happy to discuss with you.
