In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Getting fast the download countI assume you don’t consider it feasible to use a different method for retrieving the download count other than the shortcode in question. In that case, unfortunately, I will be forced not to include that information on the page.
I’ve checked the server log, which does not show any issues related to this page.
I will check the memory situation with my provider, but I believe there may be no real way around this—unfortunately.
Thank you nonetheless for your attention and support.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Bad Request, only for Download from Simple D. M.Thank you for your support.
In the meantime, I’ve verified that the error message appears repeatedly (in my browser, though not in all of them); however, after a timeout of about twenty seconds, the requested PDF form does eventually load.
I’m also in contact with my hosting provider, but for now I’d say it’s most likely an issue in one of my PHP scripts—an error that is actually classified as a warning, which first triggers the message and then still completes the request.
It’s a strange behavior based on my experience, but I’m not sure what else it could be. I’m currently tracking down all the warnings caused by the transition to PHP 8+, and I hope to reach a resolution soon.
Thanks again for your support.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Getting fast the download countThank you,
however, I must add that the page I shared for review is the one that does not contain the references with the added shortcodes[sdm_download_counter id="xxxxx"]below each icon. Therefore, the slowdown is definitely due to the use of these shortcodes.
I’m attaching the correct link here so you can view the page in question, which is on the official website but has not been part of the public navigation path for some time:

I’m also attaching the metrics you suggested I check, but I don’t understand where or how to improve them. From Gtmetrix:

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Getting fast the download countHI,
I mean the shortcode
[sdm_download_counter id=”xxxxx”]
The issue is that the page in question contains dozens and dozens of icons, each linked to a PDF file. The set of shortcodes used is causing a significant slowdown in page loading.
I need access to a system that can generate a list of all the file numbers and use it with an array.
I was wondering if this might be possible. If needed, I could (with your help) develop a short piece of code myself.I see! And I’ve seen the discussion. The problem (using Italian as primary Language) is that the readability rating (the quill, if I understand well) is often ignored. One of the main troubles with Yoast SEO is that it appears cut for the English Language.
<blockquote>is ‘text’ for me, and I use it only to obtain a graphical effect. But, yes! I understand and in the future I will check the quality of all pages before inserting the
<blockquote>.Thank you all.
Ok, nothing changes making a new Post.
I have inserted the Post in a site that I do not consider if not for trial, and this is the aspect of the post I’m talking of: https://www.giambalvo.cloud/una-intervista-per-il-2022/
I’m open to any suggestion, but the volume of people lookin at my blogs do not justify buying Yoast Premium.
Yea, I’ve got the version 19.14, but the result is the same. Strange is that apparently only this post shows the problem!
Thank you again, but the situation is really strange.
- I cannot perform conflict check, or I do not understand how to do it
- With any default theme nothing changes.
- This issue seems specific only with this post: I didn’t make any other post after this at the moment, but the previous posts mantain the green semaphore as before.
- I made an empy post, as requested, but of course, it shows red semaphore, and red quill.
- The version of WordPress used is the last available: 6.1.1
- The browser console reports:
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.3.2

As I said thank you again.
Thank you, but I think this is not my case.
I use the old Classic Editor (not Gutenberg), and yes, I have a theme, but not using it in this post. This means that only the Classic Editor is involved.
I use this method for almost all my posts, and before YoastSEO Version 19.13 it was working as expected.
In template-tags.php, find this line: […]
Thank you, but I do not find this line in my template-tags.php!
My version is 3.4.3

how the default social image was showing before Yoast SEO v14.0 release when you share a page on Facebook that even no exists
I’m not sure we say the same thing!
If the page does not exist, the default is correct NOW, as in the past.
It is not correct, only when the page phisically exists in the blog, but the publication date is in the future (Scheduled).
So, I accept that you cannot administer this trouble, and I’m in position to handle this small flaw, but I want to be sure that you have understood!
Thank you.Any page that isn’t published on your site means the relevant page doesn’t exist.
Yes, all correct!
The problem is that I MUST give a list of WordPress posts the day before issuing them in the blog. This is done for the sake of the editors in a Facebook groug limited to be seen by the editors.
If the page exists Facebook show me some existing image: this shown here is part of the ‘logo’.
While, being the page for the readers ‘not existent’ I will be glad sjowing the default image chosen for ‘non existent’ pages.
This was working as expected in some previous release of Yoast. This would confirm that the plugin was outputting these tags neither for version 14.0 or version 14.1 for a non-existent page
Ok, you know better than me, but I think that we are not speaking of the same problem.
In a previous post in this same Thread, I said that when the page ‘is’ NON EXISTENT, the Facebook post shows ok: as expected:
This is a not existant page writing a Facebook post
While it doesn’t work if the page exists, but is scheduled for a day in the future (let’s say next week):
This page exists, but it’s scheduled next week
Before, I do not remember in which version, the first situation, and the second one, gave always the same result:
This was what I saw in both cases in previous Yoast versionsWe can confirm that Yoast does not output image tags for use by Facebook.
Ok! And this means that…?
Is working or not working using Yoast v14.0?Tha caching from Facebook is a big trouble, evr!
Yes, it was working perfectly a couple of versions ago: I said it was not working with the version previous the v14.1. When I installed the recent 14.1, nothing changed.
So it was working with the version 14.0 and something: I don’t remember exactly.
