In reply to: [Flexible Editor Panel for Elementor] Great plugin but not workingThis hasn’t been working in quite some time – I love this plugin otherwise.
Worked for me too on a client’s website. Thanks, mymichael2!
Hi there – the testing I mentioned was done only a day ago, so there may be more work to do for you here and there. 🙂
I have sent you an email. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I should note that I was using Chrome on a PC in the latest version of WordPress in the Beaver Builder Theme. Beaver Builder was also installed so it may have conflicted with your plugin and may have caused some of the scrolling issues I had, and maybe other issues as well.
So it wasn’t a perfectly controlled testing environment.
Much of the rest could be construed of as my own opinion. But truly just trying to help. Hope it does help! 🙂
I took another look at it and it does seem better than I recall from the last time I tried to use it. But there are a ton of things that are clunky about the interface and the way certain things work.
Issues I noted in my tests…
– scrolling a page while editing does not work properly unless my mouse was hovering over a control panel– The layer menu would go back to the default panel if I clicked from one object to another. It should stay on the layer panel until I go back to the default one by choice.
– The duplication feature should appear with the other icons when you click on an object – not buried in the layers control panel. It should also appear in the quick menu.
– That graphic of a pile of blocks should be a nice logo instead to reinforce your product and brand similar to the way most companies work in that regard.
– If I duplicated a photo and used the duplicate in the same layout as the original, the duplicate would disappear when viewed on Mobile.
– You only have two modes…Desktop and Mobile…what about Tablets? The layout I tested did not fit vertically on an iPad in my test (although it was an older iPad).
– If the bottom edge of a text box was too close to the text in layout mode, it would cut off when viewed on iPad and/or Mobile.
– The UI was not sensitive to changes in the width of the browser window, so some of the controls would be cut off on the right such as the transform tools (for centering, right align, left align, etc.), the vertical scroll bar, and some of the blue buttons at the top right of the interface.
With regards to the UI…
Although your product is a little different, there are many comparisons you could draw from that are freely available to start with such as Live Composer, Beaver Builder and Elementor (all with free versions that you can check out in the WP repository) when it comes to UI design and implementation. You will see a fair number of similarities with regards to icons and such – not because they are all copying each other, but rather they are conforming to a standard approach, and this is because it is easy for the user to navigate through and use their products.
It is very easy to see that you are pulling icon images from stock sources – not a bad thing potentially, but the sources you are using are out of “fashion”. You will see very little use of the 3D shiny icon these days for the most part – largely due to mobile and the toll that more complex images take on bandwidth, as compared to flat colors.
Plus a flat white icon on a solid colored background is very readable – compare that to the icons that pop up when one clicks on an image or text element in your builder, which I found almost disappeared against a blue background I just happened to test over.
If you need help…
I think I could actually really help you with the design of the UI – I am a professional graphic designer and have studied quite a bit about the standardization of UI as it pertains to PC and MacOS applications. I have also used a pile of page builders over the last few years. So I can further test for you as well.Let me know what you think of all this and if you think I could help.
Regardless, keep working on it – you have some great features from what I saw and there is a ton of potential. At least check out the products I mentioned to see what they are doing. It will be an eye opener.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] extortionThis one star rating is unfair for the reasons given. $59 as a one time fee for unlimited sites is very generous.
Hi – there is a plugin for hiding titles called (oddly enough) HIDE TITLE or HIDE TITLES. It is in the WordPress Plugin store and easily found and installed.
UPDATE: After installing the plugin, you will find an option to hide title in the backend when you edit any page or post. Simply hit the checkbox on or off.
I am a fairly new user to Zedity, but find it extremely useful. The free version is basically an introduction, and not meant to offer full functionality. I bought the full version and have not regretted it.
To slam a product because you didn’t get full functionality in it’s free version is ridiculous.
I was able to see perfectly after a few minutes of trying out the free version that the paid version was a no-brainer decision to acquire.
Sorry you couldn’t make that connection – you are missing out “Rock12345”.
It has been so good for me, that I even feel the need to defend it here!

In reply to: [Zedity - The Layout-Free Content Editor] Cant insert images into a postI thought I should clarify the first few paragraphs of my comments relating to “Bob’s” complaint – The reason his complaint and subsequent low rating is a bit too harsh is because you don’t need Zedity to add a photo to a post with text wrap – WordPress already allows this in it’s basic editing mode.
You can add images with text wrap in basic layout mode, then add whatever custom layout content into the basic layout through Zedity.
In “Bob’s” defense, there may come a situation where it might have been nice to have text wrap around an image in the Zedity editor. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to have that as a feature within Zedity. But for the most part, you could generally get by using a hybrid layout.
In retrospect I may have been a little hard on “Bob” in the sense that I initially dismissed his thoughts regarding a missing feature that would actually be pretty useful in Zedity if it were present.
I still completely disagree with his rating, but the text wrap feature would be useful if it were included in Zedity’s toolbox.

In reply to: [Zedity - The Layout-Free Content Editor] Cant insert images into a postThe funny thing is that WordPress itself already does what “Bob” is upset about. Even three months ago (from the point I am posting), when his rather unnecessary complaint was posted.
You can easily work Zedity into regular WordPress post content. So why create a redundant feature? Yeah – I don’t know either.
Everyone is entitle to their opinion, but I think you needed to take on a little more due diligence before rating this plugin “Bob”.
I am fairly new to Zedity, but it was an easy decision to pick up a paid-for version after trying the limited free plugin. Having spent several hours getting to know the full product, I can not only recommend the plugin, but I can tell you, “Bob”, that your rating of it is unjust, and should be ignored.
I have purchased several page builders in the past for WordPress – having worked in it for many years now, and Zedity immediately solves most of the problems that the page builders I have tried otherwise (including the much vaunted Visual Composer) wind up causing with relation to lack of flexibility in the layout and positioning of elements on the page.
I would go so far as to say that Zedity has solved 80 to 90% of my WordPress issues overall almost immediately.
Zedity may need further refinement, but it is damned good overall, and will easily accommodate the requirements of most of it’s users.
I can’t argue that @zuyoy handled the complaints here rather poorly, but the product being defended is a good one, and definitely worthy of a higher rating. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 stars at this point, just because there are some things that could still be improved, and I hope to make some suggestions in the near future to push forward the improvement of the product.
So my message to the developer is to ignore this inaccurate criticism of his work and keep moving forward to help those of us who appreciate what is being accomplished.
It’s a good product – your work has already had a profound effect on my work day – please keep up the good work!
