I had the same problems with my six WordPress 4.7.5 blogs that using different themes.
My web site was an Apple Mac Mini(2006) with OSX 10.6.8, Apache 2.2.24, MySQL 5.1.40, PHP 5.3.26,I had copy previous version WPtouch Mobile Plugin 4.0.1 from my backup HD, then replace the 4.0.2.

In reply to: System requirements change between 2.0.6 and 2.1My WP Blog Server was MacOSX 10.4.8. The PHP version came with Apple originally was 4.1.13a.
I upgraded the WP to 2.1, it worked but Rich Text Editor (WYSIWYG Editor) was not functioned under FireFox 2.01 for OSX.
So I upgrade my PHP version to latest version 5.2 for MacOSX (Apache 1.33), the Rich Text Editor(WYSIWYG Editor) and the new image uploader came back as WP 2.07.
