Some time back, I used it in another web site, and it showed the title. … Might have been Christmas 2013… so maybe it’s a bug in a newer edition?

Would be neat if we could get older versions of these plugins, so we could test that theory.

I had likely been working with version 3.0.2 at Christmas 2013, got one here in my backup file, maybe Mauko would like to try this (clear it please with your antivirus, it’s clean as far as I know, but I don’t want to be blamed for anything):

    That’s Fancybox for WordPress 3.0.2

I’m gonna go uninstal the current update, and then reinstal this one to see how it works.

    Hi, thanks for responding.

The site is in localhost, I’m using xampp to build it in WordPress.
Also began having Adobe flash trouble with the Flowplayer… error on the face of the “video” stating I had to click to activate, but clicking does nothing.

I’ve been installing and uninstalling all the plugins I can find. Switched between .swf and .mp4, and the original .wmv, no luck so far.

I’ll check out Handbrake, thank you!

Too bad! I did have a wider sidebar and “sheet” to begin with, but poems read better in a tall narrow page, and so I narrowed the whole thing for balance.

I’ve ended up for the moment with the Cue player… only my second choice, would prefer yours as the style is gorgeous. Anyway, I finally discovered the css to CUE hidden in the “cpanel” area, and tinkered with it to get a black player:

Which brings me to another suggestion for compact vertical player development. I’ve put the player in the sidebar above the two main menus to the two poetry collections on the site. Looks ok for now… but as I add tracks, the player is becoming longer and longer, taking up the whole “view”, and the menus are shifting to the bottom, out of sight of the visitor.

It would be useful for me, and perhaps to other people, to have a compact audio player with a drop-down menu as the track list. Or, maybe kind of, I don’t know what you would call this, simply alternate the track titles using tiny little next-previous arrows, some kind of one-line slider for all the tracks? So all the tracks are on the same line.

I’m going to try again later to tinker with your lovely player to see if I can get it to fit… right now am struggling to get an mp4 playing locally in another poetry site…

Thanks for your time, really appreciate it. I hope you do a narrow version one day!

Let me answer my own poor silly question.

First, there is no CUE style css to edit in the WordPress dashboard. As a non-coder, I had no clue there was css hidden elsewhere!

After surfing and surfing and surfing for days and hours, installing, uninstalling and re-installing this, that and the other audio plugin, desperate for a BLACK one to fit my narrow sidebar because this CUE player instals as white, with no apparent way to change the color… I stumbled over the hidden css file!

It’s in the Assets folder inside the Plugin folder inside the File Manager inside the main control panel (if you are online); I found it buried deep in localhost, as I’m working offline.

What a panacea! I was able to turn the default white CUE player black to match my black & red web site, and change the font size and color, and the track padding, etc., etc.

So, if you are desperate, like me, for a player to match your web site, that’s where you can find the CUE css stylesheet. In my case, in localhost, it’s here:

    C:\xampp\htdocs\Bright_Pathway_Selected_Poems_KM\wp-content\plugins\cue\assets\css

You can dig the same folder up in your control panel if you are self-hosting your WordPress online. Just look for:

    wp-content\plugins\cue\assets\css

    And there’s your stylesheet!

May this help to save others the hours and hours and hours I spent, searching in vain for a solution.

    Have a great day!

    Hi,

Can we style it BLACK and use our theme fonts & colors?

This is a great vertical player for a narrow sidebar. Mine’s 218 px. However, my theme is dark, red and black, and my font is not white.

    See print-screen:

    Thanks for your time.

Hi there. Thanks for this. I’ll try to remove numbering, and buttons & stuff and see what happens. It’s the nicest looking player out there, I’m gonna really try hard to fit it in! 🙂

P.S. I noticed in another forum post that you seem to have an actual “widget” available in the pro version. I had just used short code from the free version in my sidebar.

Is that pro widget able to fit a smaller space?

If not, may I suggest that would be a great update….

Thank you for your time! Have a great day.
