In reply to: [Hueman] Update on previous problemHello Alex,
Thanks as always for getting back so soon. For some reason I thought the child theme would run off the parent themes previous settings but not so! I reset the menu to the header and it works perfectly. You’re a scholar and a gentleman! Thanks heaps.
Regards
KevUpdate: Not fixed.
Hello Alex,
Sorry for troubling you again. I only just noticed this now lol. The page heading that says what category the post is from is gone but so is my Menu! Any amendments I need to make in order to keep the menu headings:

Thanks again Alex
Resolved.
You sir are a champion!
I got it to work :). I did exactly as you said. I downloaded your sample, deleted the function.php file that was in there but left the sytle.css file as it was, created a new text file and copied the code from the editor of the the main theme, saved it as page-title.php and saved it in a folder called inc that I created in the child theme, moved the whole child theme into the theme folder on my server, then activated the child theme on WP and Voila! No more heading :).
If anyone has troubling following this, you can feel free to message me on [email protected] and I’ll be happy to help you out.
Much thanks again Alex!
Kev
Hey Alex,
I did a bit of research on how to get a child theme up (surprised I made it :p ). What I did was copy the entire theme, renamed it into something else (child theme) and then made the modification to the page-title.php as below :

This has fixed the issue of the title showing up but it’s broken the website and I’ve lost all formatting on it. Any idea why ? :

Thanks again for your help 🙂
Thanks very much for getting back so quickly Alex. I am an utter newbie with coding websites. I have no clue what so ever how to create a child theme. Trying to search the web for a tutorial on how to get this done. Any resources you would recommend?
Much thanks,
Kev
