Update:
I can take the rules.php and wafRules.rules files from a Linux server’s wp-content\wflogs folder, copy them into my Windows server’s identical folder and now rules are showing up in the Wordfence Firewall config page. Now if I could just get them to auto-update.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Search & Replace] Dry run flags changes, but actual run doesn't do anythingFYI the plugin “Better Search Replace” works smoothly and I actually prefer it.
i did have to restart IIS to rename/delete the config.php file. it was in use by the fastCGI PHP exe file.
config.php is writable by the IIS user.
it is regenerated if i delete/rename it.
this is the first line in the config.php file. perhaps something to do with the issue?<?php exit(‘Access denied’); __halt_compiler(); ?>
i’m pretty irritated with it so far. the install for windows/php was fairly simple, but i can’t disable it or change it from “learning mode”.
could be related to my error. i keep trying to change the date on the “learning mode until” setting but it doesn’t remember my change.
No errors in the javascript console.
this pops up on page load in the console but nothing more when selecting disable and hitting save.load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils&ver=9768f3a…:9 JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.0
Can you give us information about where the Enable/Learning Mode/Disable switch setting is stored? This could help pin down where the permission needs to be changed/applied.
i followed some directions from the Wordfence diagnostics page and created/made writable the following folders and still cannot disable the firewall:
wp-content\wfcache
wp-content\plugins\wordfence\tmpSame here, Matt. All my settings work perfectly fine except the ability to disable the firewall.
No luck. I set the firewall to “disabled” then hit SAVE and the setting comes back to learning mode on a page refresh.
I’m having this same issue. My wflogs folder is writable.
Testing the disable config caching setting now to test.
