In reply to: Text (HTML) content disappearing on Save Draft or PublishThanks, Krishna! After I posted this, I tried another test post, and everything worked. As I said, this has been an intermittent problem. We have been trying to get to the upgrades for a while (we are all part-time volunteers), so we will work on that and see if the issues reappears after the upgrades.

In reply to: Change does not display, no cachingThe cause of the problem has been identified. The issue occurred because this developer was not familiar enough with the nuances of the theme, and did not notice that the text that was in the body of the post was also placed in a separate excerpt field. The excerpt was displayed, and not the body, so changing the body text did not change what was displayed.
My apologies to esmi, and my thanks for making several good suggestion, providing a learning experience for me.

In reply to: Change does not display, no cachingThanks for the suggestions. I deactivated all plugins, and the problem did not go away. I renamed the plugins directory as recommended by the article you referenced, but the problem remained. I switched the theme, but realized that the custom post type used is not available to the other theme, so there is no way I can display it. My guess at this point is that the problem is either with the theme or the site hosting, but I would like to have this post available for a while just in case some other user has tripped across this same issue, or something very much like it. I will close it myself if I find a fix, or within 24 hours at the latest.

In reply to: Change does not display, no cachingSorry, I have submitted a ticket to Woo, and I forgot to mention that above. I have no way of knowing for sure if the problem is the theme, or if there is something else that could cause this to happen. I have also filed a ticket with our hosting company to find out if they have some caching mechanism running, as again I am not aware of any such mechanism involved in our sites.
