I’ve been installing and maintaining WP sites for clients for several years. I agree – the current dashboard works well for me. If Gutenberg becomes the default dashboard in 5.0+ versions, I’ll either stick with 4.9+ or switch to another simpler CMS. If anything, I’d prefer developers stick to improving the WP core to reduce its bulk (smaller and less files & folders). Keep It Simple!
