I ended up having to start a whole new WordPress Install and new database then did a Updraftplus migration of the Plugins, Database, Theme. Lastly I did an FTP for the uploads folder since that was a large folder. Once this was done I was able to update to Learnpress 4.2.7 without issue. My guess is that I had either corrupt files in the old site OR in the database. The old database (thru the host) was using Mysql 5.7 and the new database with the new install is running on MariaDB 10.6. Just a theory since I am not sure how it was fixed but I am glad that it all works now.
Best, Richard
I am closing this issue since I fixed it myself – thanks for your efforts.
I see this post has the same problem and it was fixed.
I asked on this post but also can YOU tell me how it was fixed so I can fix my site?
remember that I also have another site that has virtually the same configuration, theme and plugins and that site works fine. I was able to update to the current LP version. 4.2.7
I actually did all of these methods.
Each time I had to revert back toLP-4.2.6.9.1

The issue still persists. Also I tried using a different Theme and that didn’t fix the issue. So no Plugin conflict and no theme conflicts. I will try to attach an image.
