No applicable redirects that I can find. I looked at all .htaccess entries and tested with the .htaccess files renamed. We use the Simple 301 redirects plugin, but nothing there that could match, and I tested with that plugin disabled as well. I grepped the contents of every file in the web root, and searched all the databases, for strings that could match in case there was a redirect method implemented that I didn’t know about, or maybe a conflicting file name if that could break something. Did not find anything. I didn’t develop the site, and the developer is not available to help with this, so I thought I may as well do a blind check.

I was able to reproduce the problem on a warm spare. That does not work very well for testing because it is automatically synced with the live site, but I’m going to put up a test clone of the site for other reasons soon. If nothing else helps and you’re willing to take a look I could give you access to that.
