In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] guest.vary pagespeed Avoid chaining critical requestsHi Litetim, thanks for your quick reply. I understand that its part of the Guest Mode setting; that is not the issue. The issue is the high latency. Are there any recommended settings so that I can use Guest Mode but reduce the latency of guest.vary.php? Is the official recommendation to include it or exclude it from the list of ‘Do Not Cache URIs’?
Many thanks

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] guest.vary pagespeed Avoid chaining critical requestsHello,
I am having the same issue. Please refer to the screenshot of Pagespeed Insight’s report at this link. Guest.vary.php appears under ‘network dependency tree’ or ‘avoid chaining critical requests’ issue with critical path latency ranging from 900-2700ms.
So far, I have tried the following with limited success.
- Preloading the script
- Adding script to Cache > Exclude Settings > Do Not Cache URIs
- Additionally, Browser Cache is ON
Although the latency (in ms) and frequency of the script appearing in PSI reports has reduced somewhat, it has not entirely gone away. Additionally, a new issue ‘Use efficient cache lifetimes’ appears when the script is added to Do Not Cache URLs.
Is there an official fix for this issue? If not, is #1-3 above a recommended workaround, or would it compromise functionality? Finally, regarding #2, I assume excluding the script from LSWPC plugin automatically excludes it from QUIC.cloud as QUIC CDN is connected with the plugin for my site. Additionally, is it required to also exclude the script from the hosting providers’ server?
Thanks for clarity on this.
Hi Bryle, thank you for the article. It was not the reply I was hoping for because I did not make an offline backup, and the new hosting provider seems to have erased on my webserver backups. I appreciate the info nonetheless.
Best, Radhika

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Clarification about parent & child taxonomyHi Michael,
Thank you so much for this explanation! Its the best I’ve found on the internet so much. I get it now and its super helpful. Trouble is that I just learnt JetSmartFilters does not work with children, so all my terms will need to be setup as you said without parents or children, just under the main taxonomy.

In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] WPRM does not work in ElementorHi Brecht,
I am having the same issue, and have followed all the instructions you provided above but no luck.
To summarize,
I am just getting started with WPRecipeMaker, so I have only 1 recipe, which I can see in the Dashboard/WP RecipeMaker/Manage section.Using Elementor Pro 5.4.1
I can see the recipe in the WPRM widget, and when I drag and drop, it shows nicely within the section. So all good till here, but the minute I hit ‘update’ in Elementor, the published view only shows the code: [wprm-recipe id=”851″]What to do? Thanks for your help.
Best wishes
