You are welcome, Jordy. Glad I could help.
It might be worth mentioning in the FAQs just because it may not be immediately clear to someone why they’re not seeing the images show up at all on their iOS devices, even if everything is correctly setup on the WP Retina plugin. I feel like it was almost dumb luck that I found the solution!
The kind of people who do web development are the kind of people who jailbreak their iOS devices. Sometimes, we really are our own worst enemies!
I wish I knew why it was blocking the @2x files. Yes, it’s the jailbreak version of AdBlocker. Here’s some info:

Thanks for your help and prompt replies, Jordy. Looking forward to seeing what you’re working on with the Pro version of this killer plugin!
Good news: the missing @2x artwork turns out to be an issue caused on iOS devices if they’re running the AdBlocker jailbreak plugin. Disabling that plugin resolves the issue completely.
Whew!
I’m still testing, but I’m wondering if the issues are partially being caused by the WP Retina 2x plugin now automatically creating Retina versions of existing images. I just went to another site I designed that uses WP Retina 2x where I’ve done no other changes, and it too is missing the @2x artwork.
Thoughts?
Thanks, Jordy. Just found that in the Other Versions section and edited my post, but you beat me to it!
Hello Jordy:
Thanks for your quick response.
I know that at least parts of the Retina.js are being loaded because the header logo images are correctly loading with their @2x versions on all three sites, and also because of the user agent method I mentioned above.
To test, I’m going to install the WP Retina 2x version 2.4.0 still available here.
