I also agree with graftedin that it would be very useful to have this feature, especially with pagelist_ext shortcode. I don’t think it’s entirely intuitive to web users, especially older ones, to click only on the title. It’s very useful to have a “Read More” link after the excerpt since that’s the natural linear connection the user will make if they’d like to see more on the topic.
I’d recommend making it an option for the pagelist_ext portion of this plugin. You don’t have to make it default, just give the user the option for it.
Only way I could avoid the issue was to downgrade to 7.6.1
