Greetings once again !
As you can see in the first picture I type the keyword “fonction” and it successfully shows the results with everything that contains the word fonction. However in the second I proceed to typing generalites ( without the accents ) and it does not display any results , because the search bar is in strict exact match.
It also won’t show any results if I type it reversely ( generalites fonction instead of fonction generalites ) , so even the order matters when someone is typing. I think making the search function more flexible would be more user friendly.

— KlescolaHey mr.Brianvu-tp,
Thank you for the detailed explanation.
Yes, I’m definitely interested in having this feature developed. I believe the ability for students to mark lessons as favorites would greatly enhance the user experience.
Please let me know the next steps in terms of discussing the requirements, timeline, and cost for the customization.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

KlescolaHi Brianvu-tp,
I just tested the latest update, and I have to say—it works perfectly! 🎉 The search functionality is now exactly as I wanted, allowing results to appear regardless of word order. This is a huge improvement, and I’m really grateful for the fantastic support and quick turnaround. Thank you for taking the time to implement this!
I did notice a couple of small changes in the update:
- The lesson count now only shows total lessons next to each chapter, whereas before it displayed completed lessons / total lessons.
- The chapter titles are now capitalized, which is a slight visual change from before.
These are just minor observations and don’t affect functionality, but I wanted to mention them in case they were unintended changes.
Once again, a huge thanks to you and the team for your amazing work on this! Your responsiveness and support have been incredible.

KlescolaHi Brianvu-tp,
Thank you so much for your quick response and for considering this improvement! I really appreciate the great and instant support from your team—it makes a huge difference.
I’ll be looking forward to any updates regarding this, and I truly appreciate the effort you’re putting into making the search functionality more user-friendly.

KlescolaHi Brianvu-tp,
First of all, thank you for the recent update! I really appreciate that the issue with accents has been resolved—it’s a great improvement.
However, I’ve noticed that the search functionality is still too strict when it comes to word order. For example, I have an exercise titled:
“Fonction racine carrée composée dérivation variation”
If I search for “carrée composée”, the exercise appears as expected. But if I search for “carrée dérivation” or “carrée fonction”, it doesn’t return any results.
It seems that the search only works if I type the words in the exact order they appear in the title. This is problematic because users don’t always remember the precise phrasing—they might search using a different word order or just key terms. I made a video demonstrating the issue here is the link:
https://vimeo.com/1059730830/759e3eb065?ts=0&share=copyIdeally, the search should return results based on the presence of the words, regardless of their order. This would greatly improve the user experience and make finding lessons much easier.
I’d love to hear if there are any plans to improve this aspect of the search. Thanks again for all your work on this!

KlescolaHi Brianvu-tp,
Thank you for your prompt response and for confirming the issue with the LearnPress lesson search. I appreciate the efforts your team is making to improve the search functionality.
This is a vital feature for my website, so I truly hope the upcoming update will resolve the issue effectively. I look forward to hearing about the progress and will be eagerly awaiting the update.

KlescolaFound the solution it was a conflict in my custom JS code.
Perfect it worked !
However , can the section remain expanded after clicking the lesson , so the student doesn’t get lost?
To be more precise , when the student clicks a lesson from a section , I want the specific section in which he clicked the lesson to remain expanded , so he doesn’t get lost.
Thank you again for the fast reply and the solution and sorry if I’m becoming bothersome with the requests.Greetings again and thanks for the fast reply !
1) Yes , I want the sections to be colapsed by default and only when the students clicks on the section it will expand.
2) I would prefer if the student clicks another section , the previously expanded section to be closed. If that’s not possible it’s ok , I mostly want the 1)
Thanks in advance 🙂Greetings again !
Thanks for the fast reply. I would like to ask if there is any possibility that this will change in the near future ( the search bar being more flexible for this kind of cases or at least we could choose how it functions like Ivory Search for example ).
Best regards,
Alex
