I actually just figured out the issue.
I’m using Chrome as my primary browser, and the issue was happening in Chrome. I reactivated Coming Soon Mode and tried to recreate the issue in Firefox and Internet Explorer. The issue didn’t occur in Firefox and Internet Explorer; so I went back to Chrome, cleared my browsing data, and now Coming Soon Mode works correctly in Chrome as well.
Thought you’d want to know that at least Chrome has issues with the browsing cache and, it seems, the way WordPress manages logins which affects the plugin.
Thanks for the help!
So I disabled Coming Soon Mode and now the black bar is not appearing on the site, even though I’m logged in and I know the black bar did appear before enabling Coming Soon Mode.
What would be the next troubleshooting step from here?
Hello,
My website’s address is:
http://jkstech.coBefore making this post I follow the instructions at this link:
http://support.seedprod.com/article/113-cant-view-website-when-logged-in
I can confirm that the WordPress address and the site address are both the same URL; they are both http://jkstech.co
I tried to follow the instructions about changing the sub folder of my site but that did not fix the issue.
Though it was my first time trying this, I believe I followed the WordPress codex instructions correctly in method 1. I did not try method 2 because I seem to be unable to change my site URL, probably because it is managed by GoDaddy. Only guessing on this last part.
