Before Facebook sharing would take a summary of the first paragraph of an article, but now it takes the information from other parts of the site ie. “Visit these other similar pages” or anything else but the article for text.

The text has nothing to do with the article, so I have been unable to share on FB with the latest update, because it’s pulling from another source.

In reply to: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhaustedIt’s been years since I had this problem but the wp-config trick wasn’t working anymore. So, I did the plug-in tests and sure enough, it was my caching program. I had to disable it and now everything works normally.

In reply to: Upgrade tot 3.1 leaves website blank: Fatal error!Of the five WP sites I had, four worked fine with the problem being simple tags which has received three beta updates since then. All is fine.
But one is a client site which has the white blank page. I renamed the plugins folder – nada, renamed the themes folder – nada, replaced the plugins manually via FTP – nada
So I then manually updated the main files first…then the main page would be white. So reupdated it with the previous main files, everything worked in getting the main site back but wp-admin dashboard, still blank.
So, updated the wp-admin and wp-includes manually, still blank and now the website is back to blank. So, now reuploading previous wp-admin and wp-includes.
So, now…I’m going to try to see if its something in the wp-config file. I used W3 total cache and tried to rename it earlier…will try again and see if removing it from wp-config helps.
But man..this sucks. Didn’t have this problem with my other sites. Just this one.
Oops..just realized it’s in Chinese but it does work… do a search for WordPress Related Posts version 1.2

It works for me for “related Posts”.
Using the new Beta, while hiearch/category is now working, tags are not showing up on all templates. Older templates display the tags, newer templates don’t.
Same here. Stopped working and I had to disable it temporarily until there is a new update for simple tags.

In reply to: Slow queries( SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS) bringing down siteI was also using W3 Total Cache (I was using it for nearly 8 months) but I started to notice significant slowdown this week that I originally thought it was our host. After two days of not knowing the problem, I turned of W3 and notice speed came back up. I have since reverted back to WPSuperCache. As Jay mentioned, it was becoming buggy and ineffective.
