Thanks anyway. The fix I’ve found is by changing the user_id in the wp_comments table; from 1 (being the original admin account) to the new user id number.

robcub, it looks like your Gravatar is working correctly on your site now; was it a temporary problem, or did you find a fix?
I was having the same problem and fixed it by changing the short code id from the gallery name, to the gallery id number.
