I switched the to 2014 theme and removed all the plugins, and the site appears to show the posts, etc. As of my previous post 2 hours ago, all the plugins were disabled and the folder was renamed. I think this is likely a theme issue, but obviously if you have any other ideas, I am grateful, as I am certain you have more knowledge on the subject of troubleshooting WordPress.
