(It took me a while to try it) THANK YOU! It works like a charm.
Thanks for looking into this. No, I have not added “fancybox-iframe” to any of my links. I do add target=”_blank” and rel=”noreferrer noopener” If fancybox-iframe is required, then that’s the problem. … What I don’t understand is that the links worked for a month or two after I installed Firelight. Then stopped.
In case you need more info: Here’s my html for an image on my blog –> without <brackets> so it doesn’t make it an image. Each line has brackets at start and end … except that the img line is so long that it has a natural line break.

/a
/figcaption
/figureThere is a caption area on the image block — choose it at the [] in the tools band. To enter a caption I choose the [], type a caption, then highlight the text and put a link on it. i.e. the <figure> has a <figcaption> for text + link.
I put links on all images that are not my own. I do not put links on Metaslider captions.
I was going to show you the HTML behind the link on the pasted image below (It is a regular old image on my blog, not Metaslider). It was automatically turned it into a real image with caption. If I had Firelight Lightbox turned on and you clicked on the caption link, you’d see the “Requested content cannot be loaded” message.

In reply to: Posts screen Quick Edit cannot change dateThis is definitely still an issue and I’m very disappointed that 6.3.2 did not fix it. I blog ahead so I presently have 23 drafts, and am about to create 15 more. I use the date-change field to reshuffle future articles. It’s terribly time consuming to edit each one individually just to change the date.

It’s working for me now that I set the backup archive split per this recommendation (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/issue-since-last-updraftplus-update/#post-14963759)
Thank you, @bcrodua, this worked!
I also cannot backup since I updated to Updraft Version:1.16.62 on 5 October for my website: https://www.birdsoutsidemywindow.org/
Updraft has failed every time with these telltale messages at/near the end:
2758.660 (9) Beginning creation of dump of uploads (split every: 500 MB)
2758.661 (9) File exists (/usr/home/katestjbirdblog/public_html/birdsoutsidemywindow.org/wp-content/updraft_birdblog/backup_2021-10-07-0513_Outside_My_Window_092d403e20fe-uploads3.zip.tmp), but was apparently not modified within the last 30 seconds, so we assume that any previous run has now terminated (time_mod=1633598549, time_now=1633600751, diff=2202)

Though it is supposed to upload to DropBox it never gets that far.
Here are two failed attempts: 2021-10-05 and 10-08:

For comparison, here’s the last backup that worked:

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Content Encoding Error on compression; version 1.5.9The reason it is not enabled in either place is because it causes errors. I’d like to enable it but I’ve given up.

In reply to: New Inline Link Feature, I do not like!I’m putting in my vote too that I DO NOT LIKE the new inline linking for the same reason as velvetlounger described above.
I’ve used target=”_blank” since I began my blog in 2007 and am quite surprised to find that it’s a no-no. Lots of people who read my blog will tell me when they find something clunky, yet no one has ever complained about links opening in a new tab.
So I’ve learned two new things: (1) Apparently I’ve been misbehaving for 9 years. (2) My readers are either unaware of this rule or they’re too polite to tell me.

In reply to: Flash Player 10 Beta breaks file uploadI posted about this problem 9 hours ago as “Can’t upload images and must use Flash 10.” I delayed loading Flash 10 until 2 weeks ago. My blog is on a TV station website that has Flash VIDEO everywhere – so I have to have it. Please, please fix this in WordPress. I simply cannot go back to Flash 9.
And by the way, the machinations I tried today to go back to Flash 9 caused Firefox to crash. I went back up to Flash 10 & Firefox is better but still flaky. It dies suddenly for no reason.
