Link expiration is a Pretty Links Pro feature and not available in Pretty Links Lite. In the pro version you can expire the link at a specific date, or after a certain number of clicks.
Having the two links to the same page should not affect your SEO, at least not in a bad way 🙂
Also, you can turn no follow off by default in Pretty Links->Options->Links, that way you won’t have to remember to turn that option off for each link. (Applies to links created after you turn off the option.)
I’m not sure I understand what you need. Single.php is a template so you would not be able to have a link to it.
Pretty Link Pro does have a tool that auto-creates pretty links and then you could include the shortcode [post-pretty-link] in the single.php template to display it for all pages.
We have an issue with some of our lifetime users’ licenses getting out of sync. I was able to find your account and fix it. Now if you login in it should appear correctly.
So if you log in to your account and go to http://www.prettylinks.com/account you will be able to see your license code there.
I’ve also verified that you will not need to pay 60/year and are on the lifetime plan. It looks like that is a display error – which I have let our website team know about so they can fix it.
Pretty Links doesn’t use the QTags or jqmAddTrigger directly, so it’s hard to tell what might be causing this issue.
It may be a theme or plugin conflict. You can check this by disabling all plugins except Pretty Links and switching to a default theme (I recommend twenty twenty.) If the issue still persists, let us know. (I recommend Health Check & Troubleshooting for disabling plugins for this kind of test, since it won’t affect your users.)
It sounds like VLP might be caching the link destination. Or maybe a caching plugin is caching the destination. If you go to the page directly after changing the destination in PL Admin does it go to the new target url?
There is not currently a way to do that with Pretty Links. But I have put in a feature request for with our dev team to add this functionality in a future version.
class-IXR.php is a WordPress core class. So if PrettyLinks can’t find it, it may be corrupted or been disabled, or removed for some reason.
Pretty links does not add the rel tag to the links. Instead, it adds the sponsored tag to the HTML headers. This is a more reliable way to notify the browser and search engines that the link is sponsored.
Pretty Links (both light and pro) will be backed up with a general database backup.
Hello! I believe I was able to login in and add some custom code on your site to see if it would resolve the issue. If this change is not working, please contact our support team again.
Hi Cyndi,
We recommend downloading the latest version and then uploading it manually by going to Plugins->Add New and clicking the Upload plugin button.
If that does not work for you, please contact our support team for further assistance.
Yes, this is probably the easiest and most direct way to get the pretty link id from the post id.
I’ve also put in a feature request with our development team to add a helper function for this to make it easier in the future.
Hello, we are alive! Thanks for checking on us.
We have had several customers report issues with their lifetime licenses recently. While our development team is still working to resolve the root cause, our support team can fix the accounts individually.
The good news is I was able to find and fix your account so now if you log in on prettylinks.com you will be able to see your license key.
Just another note, while premium support is only available for logged in users, you can also reach our support team through our contact form.
