Thanks very much for your help!
I will debug this issue, esp in relation to AIOSEO and resolve it, now that I know the cause of this issue!

Interesting! I checked if wp_footer was being called correctly and it was, even on this page. But as per you suggested, I started disabling all plugins ( i had turned off most before but some critical ones were on). And you are right – a plugin was blocking LSCWP to work properly, specifically on this /events page!

This plugin is the All-in-One SEO – and that’s so strange since its a pretty well-known and popular plugin as it is! My config for AIOSEO is nothing out of the ordinary – so I really cannot understand why it was blocking LSCWP from working properly on this page in particular.

I know debugging another plugin is not what you would do, but if you can provide pointers so I can look into this further, it would be very helpful!

    Thanks!

yes – you are right! I missed some parts from the bottom. Here’s a link to the full log for this page:
    https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/HgcrpTYySf/

In comparison, here’s the log for a page that did work:
    https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/jyfCjddjbs/

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the pointer!

Enabling the log was definitely helpful. I can see the cache and the css/js minify/combine is working on some pages and the log details the configuration for them clearly. But the page I was using above for testing is still not working! I went through the load log for that page but not seeing any particular reason why should that be. Here’s the log excerpt related to that page – perhaps you can identify the issue?

This is a page on the frontend (tested both when logged in and in incognito). here’s the url:
    https://portfolio.fredmarcus.visionstream.com/events/

Here’s a screenshot of the css files being loaded on the site. Instead of a single combined css file, individual css files are being loaded (all are local and enqueued). Same with js files.

    Screenshot link

    Thanks!

    Thanks for checking!

But I am not seeing this file being loaded and rendered in the frontend – it still shows the individual css files (all local files and same with js files) and none show gzip compression. Perhaps I am looking at the wrong place but usually these should have been replaced by the single css file: 9232f.css I believe.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for checking!

I have using a slightly custom deployment of WP called bedrock which has been very useful for cleaner deployments and updates. Anyhow, for testing, I have moved off it to a standard WP install to hopefully debug this better.

With this install, I am still not seeing the combined/minified content. I can see that the page itself is cached (header is hit, private) but the css/js files are still separate and non-minified. Same with the html itself as previously.

I can see the js/css files have been generated in litespeed/cssjs folder but they dont seem to be getting used as per my devtools console.

    What could be wrong here?

Here’s an updated report id: DJNWBEFH

    Thanks for responding Charly!
I failed to mention earlier, but yes, I have already updated the Maps API precisely as you have outlined above: added an active billing account (billing has been active for a few months with charges being incurred) and enabled the above 3 APIs (all are seeing requests).

Which is why its so strange that the maps connection keeps getting knocked off daily and I am able to revive it just by logging into the admin! (currently its working since I logged into the backend earlier today)…

    Thanks very much!

    Thanks for your reply Weston!

Actually, the manual enabling in the editor UI doesn’t work for me (as mentioned in 3 above). When I try to enable it and update, the checkbox goes back to disabled, as is some validation errors prevented enabling it. Which doesn’t make sense since in reader mode, the post should have simply used the default reader theme! Also, there’s no validation console (or even in debug) in reader mode, so I am not able to see if that was the issue here.

Debugging the post_supports_amp() function, i see the error on the post amp page before it redirect as Array ( [0] => post-status-disabled ). So for some reason, even though I have enabled the CPT in the settings, changing the default post theme from default to another, disables the support, it appears.

The only way I would find to get around is to force enable AMP across all content through:
    add_filter( ‘amp_post_status_default_enabled’, ‘__return_true’ );

Now amp works across all CPT and its template variants, but the editor Enable AMP toggle cannot be used anymore to disable it where needed.

    Thanks!

    Hi @verdonv

I actually did manage to get Google SAML app working with this plugin after many trial/error attempts since the settings were not properly documented. Here are a few additional steps I had to do for Google SAML – hopefully it will help you set it up with your provider:

    Match WordPress account by: Email
    Mapping:
    Username: username
    E-mail: email
    Service Provider Entity Id: php-saml
    NameIDFormat: urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress

    SAML APP setting:
ACS URL: <site url>/wp-login.php?saml_acs (very important!)
entity ID: php-saml (same as above)
    Mapping:
    username: Primary Email
    email: Primary Email
    Name ID Format: Email
    Name ID: Primary Email

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the answer David!

I too am having the same issue – i did not realize that once you save that setting, I wont be able to change the backup time anymore! Now it runs in the middle of the day and due to the intensive processes involved, the site becomes either slow or completely unresponsive – which is a disaster!

I understand that I cannot change it from the UI in the free plugin, but is there a way for me to unset this setting and the set it during the night or something? Or can you let me know which option name stores this value so I can manually edit the database? Or as the last option, can I simply reset ALL updraftplus setting so I can add the setting from scratch?

    Thanks very much!

    Thanks for your response!

By not minify, I mean that the files are getting combined but they are not getting compressed and minified.
All the js and css files have been added to the theme through enqueueing all assets. So I would think they would get processed. I can see that WTC is reading it and it combined the theme files into a couple of combined files, but its not doing the next step of actual minification.

    Hope that helps…

    Thanks!

    THanks for your reply Danny!

Actually I managed to resplve this last night!
I think you are correct about the lazy loading aspect which is why the assets do not get loaded when I add the shortcodes within the template php file.
However, if I resolve the shortcode within the twig file instead, the supporting assets do get loaded. ie. instead of the above in the template.php and the twig file, I did this:

    timber.php:
    $context['contact_form_html'] = $content_post[0]->custom['contact_form'];

    footer.twig:
    {{ contact_form_html|shortcodes}}

    Thanks!
