Thanks for looking into this.
Unfortunately, the issue is still present with the new RC for me.
We can get around this by unticking Enable Post Expiration in the post editor, but this is often missed by content editors.
It looks like the checkbox is defaulting to checked when it shouldn’t be.
We are also experiencing the issue on 2.7, when downgrading to 2.3 the issue is resolved.
Like others, the issue does not seem to occur on all pages/posts. For us, it only occurs on posts where expires is set to ‘Never’ before publishing any edits.
