In reply to: [Easy Google Maps] Neither map nor marker will saveThe issue is on my LOCAL machine, you know – //localshost?? It is NOT on a hosted web server. I am running XAMPP on a PC and working on the website that way.
However, I can tell you that I did install your plugin to the site’s default host that IS on a hosted web server. The temporary setup is using the default WordPress 2013 theme, After installing your plugin on that server, I was able to add and save a map, and add and save a marker, That was on Saturday.
So, it could be that it’s an issue with XAMPP, or the //localhost on my pc, or the networked sites setup on my local WP installation, but it does work ok in a hosted environment with a single WP install.
I did put http:// in front of the link.
I believe part of the issue is I’m also using a plugin, wp-members, to allow residents to login, and to also filter out some content to certain types of users. I made the Calendar ‘private’, so you must be logged in to see the full calendar. At least I know I was right about the linking.. just have to figure out how to get it to work with the members plugin.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] Restrict Categories per userI have a similar situation. The site is for our condo building. The powers that be are now asking if we can restrict access to certain things by owner vs. lessee.
Thanks!
When you say the input fields are set to “display: none” you’re talking CSS, right?
Correct 🙂
There is no option to not display these elements via the plugin’s settings as they are required.
That’s why I thought it was strange. Everything in the settings for the site is set to allow registration, so I’ve no idea why that would be disabled that way. The guy who installed WP in the first place, the one I inherited this from, has no CSS knowledge. Could be it was left over in the theme I guess.
I went in and changed the CSS so it displays, so everything works now.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] Updating WP-Members, WP 3.5.1 compatible?I wish I had a staging server to test it on. I’ve got one hosting account to work with. Fortunately, the existing site was not used all that much (last updated in 2011), so with the exception of some uploaded photos, which I can save out, losing the few posts that are in the DB would not be a huge loss. The last admin installed the WP-Members plugin, and activated it, but it was never really used, so again, no big loss.
Perhaps I should just remove the 2.3.2 WP-Members version and install 2.8.1 from scratch.
Thanks!!
