I contacted Woocommerce who told me that the shop page does not allow content to be placed before AND after the product gallery.

Hi @senff – thanks very much for the help it worked perfectly. I added the code to the child theme style.css file. Before I created this topic, I did try to figure out how to do this myself by using the inspection tool in my browser. As it is, my understanding is still below what is needed for me to be more self-sufficient. Thanks to you and this forum for the support. WordPress is great.
