Thank you for your help, I think I got it completely wrong.What I mean is:
I always get a message from WP that I should update the yost seo plugin. I don’t want to update that because it creates problems.
If I don’t update it, however, I always get a message from wp that I should update it.
Can you turn off the fact that these instructions always come.I have another plugin that I just don’t want to update because I think it’s great the way it is.

I did everything as you said, I followed the link you did give and read the instructions carefully. And it was nothing new for me I have been working as a web designer with wordpress and yoast seo for about five years and I have to say that it is a verry great tool. So I can not really do without it. I have a new page for a new customer with the Theme Betheme created Yoast 13.0 Uploaded and it doesn’t work. I cannot make any settings. It is the case that not even the yost configuration assistant can be started. On the page itself the register cards dosn’t work where I can enter titles and descriptions nothing works anymore. And all of this happened when I updated all my pages on Yoast 12.8 at the beginning of 2020 – nothing has worked since then.
I’ve already checked a plugin conflict and also a theme conflict. I thought it could be do to my server, but it doesn’t either. I have customers who have their homepage on a different server. I have also read on various forums that some others have the same problem.I hope you can help me and thank you for that.

ThomasHello everyone, I also have a problem with yoast seo. Since I updated to 12.8 I can no longer make any settings in yoast. Can someone help me? I hope that a wp update will come soon and the problem will be solved. I’m already desperate.
