for the issue of the text in the author page:
Open includes > convac-custom-css.php find “.home .header-top-wrap,.home.front-page .header-top-wrap” and replace height: 720px; with min-height: 720px;
Then go to css > flexslider.css find .flex-caption and delete
height: 320px;

Similar problem here, my site shows a completely blank page, WP-admin same thing.
