Yes, everything is working.
I was able to go into the custom functions.php via ftp and simply delete the last bit of code I tried. Besides that, nothing is lost.
I just got a plug-in called Automatic WordPress Backup so I will have a backup ready if I need it. This experience was a big scare. You can check out the plugin info here:

The exact same thing has happened to me. Can’t even access admin panel. Any suggestions? Banging my head against the wall.
