    I apologize, I’m building locally so the site isn’t live. I’ve still not found how to make the images place where I want them next to text with the text wrapping properly.

    thelmachido,
    Thank you for your reply.
    I am using image and paragraph blocks that are separate from one another. The result is as I described. The images won’t always position next to the text in the paragraph box, and/or they do but won’t position where I’m trying to place them.

    Hello Alvaro,
    Thank you for replying.

    I don’t have a link as I’m working locally, can find the screenshots here:
    https://lauralee826.smugmug.com/Wordpress/n-TwwBnw
    see comments for issues noted below (to match issue with image)

    I’m using the Neve theme using Guttenburg blocks. I’ve also tried to switch it to Guttenburg classic editor, didn’t work.

    I am using the image block, setting the alignment to either right or left.
    The text is in a parapgraph block.

    If I use image/media block, the text doesn’t wrap (image attached)

    I’m not sure how Guttenburg blocks should work in the sense of placement– (and haven’t been able to find information explaining this) if I can place them whereever I want within another block (paragraph bock in this case), or if it just defaults to putting itself where it wants in the flow.

    Another issue is– even with the wrong layout in the editor, it renders very wrong (image attached).

    Thank you,
    Lee

    Thank you for your reply.

    Yes, that sounds like what my client would like for her site.

    Upon entry of username/password combination- that associated to a partiuclary gallery or album, for a client of the photogrpaher to then view.

    I know a permalink could be sent to the clients, but that takes away from the website a bit in its functionality.

    It would be a nice feature for Envira Gallery to add. I’ve been trying to think abotu how to make that happen on my own, but I’m hesitant to do so due to the security measures that would need to be in place.

    I hope it would be something seriously considered.

    Thank you again.

    Hello,
    Thank you for the response.

    Setting the page of the gallery/album to private and setting a password doesn’t quite achieve what I’m wanting to do.

    For one thing– to do that with several albums/galleries to have on a Client Gallery page– for customers to access their proper photos– creates a visible list of log ins that don’t have names or ability to identify which album is which.
    Along with that thought– it creates a list of album/gallery logs in. The photographer doesn’t want anything visible to indicate basically how many customers she has.

    The desired layout that she would like is–
    Customer lands on Client Gallery page– where there then would be one input for user name and one input for password.

    When username and password are entered- they then match to the proper gallery or album associated, which then opens and renders for them.

    I’m not finding any way for that to be possible.
    And I’m not sure how to build that– to grab what I need from Envira Gallery to make it work.

    Really, all it would be is conditionals to then render the proper album.
    Could easily do so in something like React, but using WP for easier use for the photographer to add photos, etc when she wants/needs.

    I’m not finding a way to achieve this in WP with Envira Gallery.

    Any thought for the desired structure?
    Thank you,
    Lee

    Thank you Steve, I will check out the link for the client portal plugins. And will look into others to be sure which will work for our purposes.

    I appreciate your assistance,

    Thank you Steve,

    I’m sorry, yes the plugin supplying my albums and galleries is Envira Gallery.
    The Client Gallery is the name of that particular page to house — the albums or to house the input to enter in unique password to access their own album/gallery.

    Yes, I’m needing something a bit more than just password protecing each album to show on the page, but need to ..in essence, keep the albums/galleries hidden until the a client enters their unique password to link to their album/gallery.

    Thank you,
    Lee

    Hello,
    Thank you for your reply.

    Change “Public days from today” to what? Its currently set at 30.

    Also what is that ? What does it control?

    Thank you

    Thank you for your reply.
    Yes, I’m stymied why they wouldn’t have added the ability to add the product description to the product blocks.

    Thank you for the link to the product shortcode,

    Tried it and it gives me the product list that renders that I hid as I didn’t care for the layout.
    So…I might have to do a bit of CSS to configure it.
    The block layout is much nicer, cleaner look with the ‘add to cart’ button already as a button.

    And, using the shortcode, I can’t hide the 2nd products listing that renders automatically — renders as a table. Those elements have the same classes as the elements that are rendered when using the shortcode.
    The shortcode I can at least render in segments to put items in same category together with their header.

    The block that renders the products automatically, renders the products alphabetically– I’m not seeing ..or seeing yet… my ability to control how that area renders.

    I apolgize for the question, I’m new to working with Woocommerce and still gaining experience with wordpress.

    I could do custom code to tweak the Gutenberg product block to add the product description, my issue is, I’m not sure which file to create a child of to add the code to, as well as which hooks/filters to use to grab the product description.

    If its possible to tweak the code for the Gutenberg product block, I’d like to give that a whirl to see how it goes.

    Thank you again.

    Hello,

    Update.
    After reaching out to my mentor who is very proficient with WordPress,
    She didn’t feel the issue was server related.
    But a twentyseventeen theme or template issue. That to her it looked like the template was generating the unnecessary HTML.
    Upon checking: Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Front Page Section Content
    I realized the pages I deleted that were set for Front Page Section Content, now was a ‘blank’. I changed that to “Select” and the rogue HTML cleared.
    I had checked that before, didn’t see a page set for those sections and didn’t think anything of it — I had assumed no page was selected. I didn’t realize that a blank ‘page’ was selected for Front Page Section Content to create the issue–

    I’m posting this to help others who may have the same issue and aren’t sure what the problem is.

    Thank you

    I’ve tried a few more things…

    I found the trash in the dashboard…emptied it, refreshed the browser as well as deleted the history, cookies, etc.

    The content is now gone…but..where the content was, now a white space appears.
    Upon inspection, the html structure for the deleted page appears– minus its content.

    I took a screenshot but don’t see the how to attach or embed it in this thread.

    instead, here is the code from the inpsector of the one ‘blank’ html that now exists.
    `
    <article id=”panel1″ class=”twentyseventeen-panel “>
    <div class=”panel-content”>
    <div class=”wrap”>
    <header class=”entry-header”>
    </header><!– .entry-header –>

    <div class=”entry-content”>
    </div><!– .entry-content –>
    </div><!– .wrap –>
    </div><!– .panel-content –>

    </article>
    `

    Is this behavior normal? I’ve not experienced it on another site I’ve been creating to get more familiar with WP.

    Any guidance on how to correct this is appreciated.
    Thank you for your time,
    Laura
