It was after I tried to update the Posterboard I noticed the main settings tabs on the calendar admin were not working. Can’t say for sure if this was before or after the update

Forgot to mention running the latest wordpress version as well

I think I have fixed it, I manually referenced the gallery on the page i.e [nggallery id=6] rather than using the attach to post button. That seemed to create a longer link.
Sods law found a fix after I posted, thanks for posting back so quickly, all goo and working again.
I’ve done a lot with the galley and it works really well.Cheers
