Your screen shot gave me a clue as to my error – the checkbox items below the ‘Please select a list’. I thought this ‘Please select a list’ was for the user selecting their list. Confusion solved!

I’m having a similar problem. I can’t hide ‘Customise’ under Appearance anymore. Normally I give clients access to their menu but nothing else under Appearance. The setting is there but not working like it used to. Similarly – I used to be able to hide ‘Edit with Elementor’ (which includes a dropdown of templates) from the top toolbar. There is no longer a setting for this. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks, it’s a very useful plugin.
