In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Cannot view any other month on calendarI also ran into this problem being on GoDaddy Managed WordPress. I ended up switching to a Google calendar and using the ICS Calendar plugin to feed all the calendar views I needed.
If you are managing the calendar for a not-for profit this is a nice free alternative. In some ways, I prefer the default presentation over the All-in-One event calendar. If you need more customization, there is a reasonable lifetime license for the Pro version.
Moving the calendar entries over was fairly straightforward. I subscribed to the time.ly calendar I had set up on my website. I created a separate google calendar for each of my categories. I then copied each event from the feed into the corresponding Google calendar. Using shortcodes, you can combine any number of Google calendars into a single view so this simulates the category filter.
This method is a better fit for the skating club I support. The google account belongs to the club and can easily be updated by a volunteer.
In fact, when I first installed the All-in-One event calendar plugin we used to use a Google ics feed. Then they made it a paid feature so I had to move all the events into WordPress!
Hi Ben,
It took me a while to track down someone with a similar problem with the google maps iframe embed. Turns out the problem lies with the Sucuri Firewall blocking some requests. All I had to do was go in and whitelist my IP address and the problem disappeared.
I am not sure specifically why your icons triggered the problem but it is all working on my production site now.
Thanks,
LindaIt is not using import/export. It is a full copy from staging to production with overwrite of the WordPress database. This is part of the Managed WordPress from GoDaddy so I don’t have all the specifics.
I created a new page to test the scenario under production. So a new page, insert a html block and past the embed code from Google and broken. Same for your icon list. Other blocks work fine. If I remove the icon in the icon list I can save the page but the list text is not displayed.
I don’t think I can give you anything else to go on. Do you think uninstalling and re-installing Kadence blocks might help? I didn’t want to do anything on the production site in case you had a solution.
Thanks,
LindaAny update on this issue? This is breaking consistently in the latest version of Firefox (79.0) on Windows 10. Works mostly reliably on Chrome, messes up occasionally on the latest version of Edge (84.0.522.52).
You can try any “learn more” button on my staging site home page (http://f79.218.myftpupload.com/). They all go to anchors on the accordions set in the Advanced setting for the pane.
I am getting close to launching this site and would love to have this working. Otherwise, I will just have to send these links to the programs page. This adds an extra click for the user to open the relevant pane.
